What happened to 3, 6, 9, 12 month session?

You ABSOLUTELY can still do the traditional 3, 6, 9, 12 month sessions!

I’m all for saving any parents some money. Probably not a smart business move, but I really do intend to be more practical when it comes to busy lives. It does save you money, but here’s some explanation on why 3 sessions work just as well—if not better—than 4.

3 vs 4 month
At 3 months, baby's necks aren’t quite strong enough so baby is limited on how many poses we are able to do. By 4 months, her neck is much stronger and we can prop her up vs her neck swaying around while we are trying to get smiles. In many cases, when parents schedule the session, they are commonly a couple weeks behind anyway. So, by the time they get in, they are typically 4 months anyway.

8 month vs 6 month
6 month old many babies are not typically sitting up yet (some are, but many aren't) which means we have to prop baby in more containers like we did with his 4 month session. By 8 months, he’s definitely sitting up and we can get so many great shots and many more poses. He’s either new to crawling or up on all fours ready to go...!

12 month vs 9 month
9 month olds...wait didn't we just have his session!? No need to do it again--let's see how much baby changes for his year session.
