Common Q&A's

Q. How many images can I expect to be captured on my wedding day?

A. I do not have a set number, but on average I have between 500-800.

Q. Is the Print Release included in the price for our Engagements and Wedding?

A. Yes. All the edited images come with a Print Release to print where you choose.

Q. I think I only need a photographer until we are done with pictures after church. How much would that cost?

A. I do not offer this. The only exception I may make is when I'm completely booked for that year. and may have the date open.

Q. I only want a photographer at the ceremony. What is the price for just the ceremony?

A. I do not offer just one part of your wedding day.

Q. We already had engagements done by another person, so we don't need those OR we don't want to do engagements. How much does it cost since we don't need them or don't want them?

A. The price does not change if you choose to not have your engagements done. I do always suggest--strongly encourage we do at least a mini session to get comfortable with each other. I don't want you to feel like I'm a stranger on your wedding day. :)

Q. We have a child/children. Can they be a part of the engagement session? If so, how much would that cost?

A. I WANT you to bring your children to the engagement session---at least the beginning to get some family shots and then the children can go with a caretaker, so you can enjoy the engagement portion. There is NO charge for adding your children.

Q. We'd like you to stay for the grand march. Is that an option and how much would that cost?

A. It is $150 an additional hour. This fee is to cover the time needed in the editing process that follows.

Q.Do you have an assistant? What does your assistant do?

A. It depends. If I bring an assistant for me, it's to assist me with lighting, camera equipment, etc... She takes pictures if time allows her to. I always bring an assistant if I have a Friday and Saturday wedding to try to lighten the load a little. It all depends on the time of year, my schedule, the wedding details, etc... If you'l like me to bring an assistant to take pictures from another angle and/or be in a different place, there is that option for $400. She would start at the same time as I do and be done after we are all done with pictures at the second location. She'd be a 2nd photographer. The fee is to cover the editing process.

Q. Do you suggest I get an assistant?

A. Honestly, it's preference. I would say its not necessary, but it's really up to you.

Q. Do you have more than one camera?

A. Absolutely. I have 4 professional, Full Frame Nikon cameras.

Q. What kind of equipment do you use?

A. All sorts! Top of the line. Do view a list of my equipment: Click Here: What's In My Bag?

Q. Are you insured?

A. Yes. I carry liability insurance

Q. Will our images be available to view online?

A. Yes! That's how you will view them when they are completed. Both engagements and weddings. Your wedding collection will be delivered on a flash drive as well. You will be able to download your engagements directly from your gallery.

Q. What do I have to do for you to photograph our wedding?

A.  Email or text me first to make sure I have the date available. From there we can discuss further details. If I have the date available, I will send you a link to book a meeting in my home studio. A $300 retainer fee with a signed contract guarantees VLP to photograph your wedding date. That fee will come off your total $1900 balance.

Q. I'd like to meet you first before we sign the contract.

A. I get it! I allow 24 hours to cancel the contract and return your retainer fee if you have changed your mind for any reason. In fact, I also have 24 hours to void the contract. It's never happened, but its important that you and I have a good vibe with one another. It's more important to me that you're comfortable with your photographer---no matter who she/he is than you be 'stuck' with me. Same for me---I can't do my best work if I'm not comfortable with the bride.
